The party went shopping in the train bistro, buying several jars of peanut butter and bottles of liquor. When [[imperial agents]] showed up and searched for [[Old Man]] in the car, creating chaos, [[Bartleby]], the young candidate running against incumbent memory recovery tycoon [[Mayor Steve]], vanished. [[Yuzu]] climbed overhead the crowd and into the next train car, but couldn’t find [[Bartleby]]. Meanwhile, [[Bemo]] decapitated the bistro bartender with a forceful roundhouse kick for no reason. The two imperial agents in the bistro moved in with enchanted steel whips, demanding the party confess the location of Old Man, but [[Eithan]] and Yuzu impaled the agents through their skulls with, respectively, a throwing knife and crossbow bolt, saving Bemo, whom one agent had ensnared in the steel whip after Bemo's clumsy and failed attempt to vault to the bar counter. Old Man entered the car up rubbing his sleepy eyes, asking what was going on. Together, the party answered a telecom invitation to a luxury car to speak with Mayor Steve Once the entered the luxury car it became clear Mayor Steve meant to trap and force them to unlock the safe he had stolen from the Old Man’s office in [[3rd Winter]]. Dogs could be heard barking and scratching at the opposite doors to the car and from the closet. Old Man raised his hands and made a humph noise. Somehow this light gesture killed all the imperial agents on the train at once, with an exercise of supernatural will, at the cost of his frail old body, which he explained during the voyage in [[elder's path 3]] that has more of (more bodies) and one of them is a young woman in the [[Lion Lands]] whose identity he was reticent to reveal but may (may?) be the daughter he accused Mayor Steve of fucking. The party cracked the safe puzzle, and found inside a massive stash of [[mushroom]], which Mayor Steve opened his mouth supernaturally wide to inhale all at once like a sentient vacuum. Seizing this opportunity, Bemo created a molotov cocktail with one of the liquor bottles he purchased from the cafe car and a strip of oily cloth from Old Man’s corpse, and Yuzu threw it into Mayor Steve’s mega mouth, killing him. From the closet, [[Bartleby]], who it turned out was actually the source of the scratching noises from inside, rather than more ravenous dogs, ran out and toward the passenger cars full of fear, but not before Bemo pickpocketed from him a room key matching the one he found in the pocket of the politician’s young girl intern. The party posed the crime scene as an orgy between the supervising imperial trooper, Mayor Steve, and the old man, then evacuated and separated the luxury cars from the passenger cars before lighting the luxury cars ablaze (killing the innocent train engineer). The party hopped off the train most of the way to [[Sherman]] with a huge stash of mushroom they’re not sure they should eat yet, with Old Man waiting for them in [[Outpost B]] of [[Ilnam]], the center of the bounty-hunting market.
