As soon as one of the [[mushroom]]s whose original known provenance was the rectum of [[Old Man]] was thrown into the pot alongside [[Eithan]]’s discarded thigh and shin, the party was transported to [[limbo]]. There, they encountered Old Man and a demented infant who through both personality and an accelerated growth process that distinguished its features was revealed to be [[Bemo]]. Through a maze, a haunted playground, a teenager’s sticky bedroom, and a contrived, Bemo-biased form of a memory of an interaction with a young girl at the market stall in [[Sherman]] in which she requested more money than the party had in exchange for garments no one wanted to buy, the party arrived at the lair of the basilisk whose life sustained the limbo. It assumed the form of a giant lobster. Old Man youngened the lobster enough for it to lose its hard shell in the rear, allowing Eithan to crawl into its intestines. [[Yuzu]] shot a crossbolt into its thoracic region and enlarged the bolt to pry apart its shell. Through pained and poorly choreographed effort the giant lobster’s breathing was stopped and the limbo collapsed, sending Old Man back to one of his young bodies in a hostel near [[Outpost B]] and sending the party back to the combination Orthodontics/Red Ministry office of Minh’s father in the autosexual town of [[Oslon]], overseen by the differently hypertrophied and very autosexual [[Oslon Twins]]. The ritual, though it took unexpected detours, worked. Eithan emerged from the black pot with two in-tact legs containing no wood, only the regular flesh and bones. Bemo emerged from the pot with great difficulty, his shoulders so wide he had to dislocate them in order to pass through the pot’s open mouth, and now his left shoulder would remain permanently vulnerable to momentary subluxation if pressure is applied from the back such as from a comradely pat on the back. [[Barbara]], [[Minh]]’s father’s secretary, who also worked part-time for [[The Orthodontist]] that shared the building, gripped her hair in stress (which her hair retained its form in spite of this because of her liberal use of product) and paced around shouting, “where’s the girl? We’ve lost the little girl!” Minh busied herself calming Barbara down with breathing exercises and by explaining that this was the intended effect and that the large man tending to some invisible discomfort in his left shoulder was in fact the same little girl she was worried about, restored in form. Minh’s father, now that the ceremony was complete, placed a hand on Eithan’s shoulder and pointed at Minh. “I’ve delivered on my end. Now I expect you to impregnate.” Next: [[elder's path 11]]
